(Bellevue, NE) -- Offutt Air Force Base cuts the ribbon to re-open its "Base Lake" recreation area east of the base in southeast Bellevue.
The Offutt-based 55th Wing says the project represents a significant milestone in Offutt’s continued recovery and revitalization following widespread damage from the 2019 Missouri River flood.
The "55th" says the renovated area reflects both modern capability and quality-of-life investment for AIrmen, families, and community partners.
The facility includes RV hook-ups, laundry services, state-of-the-art shower facilities, a fully equipped kitchen, community center, and a new playground.
The enhancements provide Airmen, families, and community partners with a vibrant space that strengthens the connection between people and mission.
