State Patrol Highlights Husker Football Gameday Traffic

The first Nebraska Football home game of the season is coming up on Saturday, and the State Patrol is shining a light on the decades-long, multi-agency effort to keep traffic moving in and around Lincoln.

State Patrol Colonel Bryan Waugh has "kicked off" a statewide campaign to promote safe travel to and from Nebraska Memorial Stadium.

Throughout the week, troopers will "hand off" the Huskers’ game ball in communities across the state, to demonstrate the teamwork necessary to make gameday travel happen.

The football will travel across Nebraska this week, finishing the relay when a trooper delivers the Huskers’ game ball to Memorial Stadium ahead of Saturday’s game against Akron.
