Omaha Inmate Missing For Two Months Re-Captured

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office says Deputies teamed up with Omaha Police to arrest a man who has been on the run for two months from the Community Corrections Center- Omaha after not returning from a religious furlough.

The Sheriff’s Special Operations Group and K9 Unit and an Omaha Police K9 unit picked up 36-year old Dustin Debusk in the area of 77th and Miami Street.

The Sheriff says as Deputies approached a residence, Debusk fled on foot, but was quickly arrested as the Omaha Police helicopter followed him.

The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services says Debusk started his sentence in 2022: Zero to nine years out of Douglas County for theft and operation of a motor vehicle to avoid arrest.

He has a tentative release date of July 28th, 2026.
