Deputy Douglas County Attorney Facing DUI Charge Resigns

(Omaha, NE) -- The County Attorney's Office says Elizabeth O'Connor is no longer employed in the office.

O'Connor is also a member of the N-U Board of Regents.

She is accused of driving under the influence with serious bodily injury.

In May, police say O'Connor drove her vehicle into oncoming traffic at 63rd and Blondo causing a crash that left a person in another car with life-threatening injuries.

A preliminary hearing set for September 9th.

The Omaha City Prosector is the special prosecutor in this case because of the conflict of interest with a former County Attorney's Office employee being charged.
