On "X," Omaha Police Lt. Joe Nickerson says he helped get a DoorDash delivery completed in a north Omaha neighborhood cordoned off during an effort to take a wanted party into custody.
"Serve and protect takes many forms. While operating as Negotiator Commander today on a criminal barricade, I got the pleasure of delivering a pizza to a hungry family because the Door Dasher couldn't get to the house due to police road closure."
