(Omaha, NE) -- The all-weather canopy over the terminal drive at Eppley Airfield is now complete.
“It’s a series of three canopies in one system, so anyone being picked up or dropped off at the terminal will be completely covered by the full glass-top canopy,” said Steve McCoy, Director of Technology and Strategy at Eppley Airfield.
Designed to withstand all weather conditions, the canopy spans the terminal drive, improving traffic flow and accessibility for travelers.
“The canopy is part of a broader enhancement to the travel experience at Eppley Airfield. We wanted to ensure enough capacity to support Omaha’s growth over the next several decades. It’ll keep travelers out of the elements—whether that’s rain or snow,” McCoy added.
This upgrade is part of the airport’s larger $950 million terminal modernization project, expected to be fully completed by 2028.
