(Omaha, NE) -- Several Salvation Army locations across Omaha are opening cooling centers in anticipation of this week’s expected heat wave. According to the National Weather Service, a heat advisory is in effect, with temperatures expected to reach the triple digits on Wednesday.
The cooling centers will be open Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Each location will provide air conditioning and bottled water for those needing relief from the heat.
Participating Salvation Army Locations:
North Corps 2424 Pratt St.
8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Mon 7/21, Tues 7/22, and Weds 7/23
Heritage Place at Renaissance Village 3612 Cuming St.
8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Mon 7/21, Tues 7/22, and Weds 7/23
Kroc Center Omaha 2825 Y St.
7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Mon 7/21, Tues 7/22, and Weds 7/23
