The Mayor's Office announces Omaha Parks, Recreation, and Public Property Department Director Matt Kalcevich has resigned.
Mayor John Ewing Junior says Jake Lindner will serve as Interim Director.
Lindner is a 13-year city employee, most recently serving as city parks maintenance supervisor.
He had previously served as interim director of the department between the tenures of Brook Bench, who left the city in June 2020, and Kalcevich, who came on board in 2020.
Kalcevich had previously served as recreation manager for the city of Des Moines, bringing to Omaha over a decade of experience in managing parks, recreation, and public facilities.
Mayor Ewing thanked Kalcevich for his service.
