Wildfire Smoke Leads to Air Quality Concerns in Omaha

(Omaha, NE) -- Canadian wildfire smoke is back. It's coming across Lakes Superior and Michigan, and down through Wisconsin and Minnesota, across Iowa, and into eastern Nebraska. Over the past couple years, smoke plumes have typically come through the Dakotas or from the West.

The EPA says particulate matter is elevated, though not at a level that endangers health. The level could go higher in the afternoon heat.

In parts of Northern Minnesota and Wisconsin air quality is unhealthy for all, and people are being encouraged to stay indoors.
