Nebraska State Patrol Safely Recovers Missing Child

(Lincoln, NE) -- The State Patrol says troopers safely found and recovered near Lincoln a missing juvenile from northeast Nebraska.

The South Sioux City Police Department had requested an "Endangered Missing Advisory" be issued for five-year-old Nicco Hoffman.

Nicco had not been seen for several hours, and his family thought it was possible that he was traveling in a vehicle with his adult sister.

NSP issued the Endangered Missing Advisory at 5:15 p.m. Sunday.

About 20 minutes later, the Patrol received information the vehicle had been spotted traveling west on Interstate 80 between Omaha and Lincoln.

At 5:50 p.m., troopers were able to locate the vehicle believed to be involved traveling westbound on I-80.

The troopers made a traffic stop at mile marker 403 and recovered Nicco, who was safely reunited with family Sunday evening.

NSP says the driver, 20-year- old Lilyanna Romero-Hoffman of Sioux City, Iowa was arrested for violation of a custody order and theft by receiving stolen property over 5,000 dollars.
