(Lincoln, NE) -- Governor Pillen is sending the "Nebraska Task Force One" urban search and rescue team to flood-stricken areas of Texas.

The 45-member team, including two canine units, will leave Lincoln and is expected to arrive in San Antonio Tuesday morning.

Pillen has been in contact with Texas Governor Greg Abbott, and a request for state help was issued through the Emergency Management Assistance Compact.

The Nebraska Task Force One team will be transporting boats, vehicles, and other equipment necessary for navigating areas devastated by the flood waters.

They are expected to be on the scene for two weeks.
