Council Bluffs Police identify a body that was recovered from the Missouri River on the south side of Lake Manawa State Park.
The person was identified as 28-year -old Gony Dual Bijiek from Waukee.
Officers with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources were able to bring the body to the shoreline.
A cause of death is unknown at this time; an autopsy has been scheduled and will be conducted by the State of Iowa Medical Examiner’s Office.
