Gov. Pillen Appoints Jason Doele as District Court Judge for Fifth District

(LINCOLN, NE) -- Governor Jim Pillen has appointed Jason S. Doele of Norfolk to serve as a District Court Judge in Nebraska’s Fifth Judicial District, according to a release from the governor's office Tuesday.

The Fifth Judicial District consists of Boone, Butler, Colfax, Hamilton, Merrick, Nance, Platte, Polk, Saunders, Seward, and York counties. According to the release, Doele is licensed to practice law in both Nebraska and South Dakota and serves on several community boards, including for Faith Regional Health Services.

The judicial vacancy was created due to the appointment of Justice Jason M. Bergevin to the Nebraska Supreme Court.
