Omaha City Council Will Present Poverty Elimination Action Plan

(Omaha, NE) -- The Omaha City Council will present a new Poverty Elimination Action Plan at tomorrow’s council meeting. This year’s plan will focus on workforce development and economics, education, and affordable housing.

Under Nebraska law LB 840, cities with populations of at least 50,000 are required to develop a comprehensive strategy to address poverty and adopt a five-year plan by July 1.
