The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services says an inmate is missing from the Community Corrections Center – Omaha.

Corrections says Dustin Debusk did not return to the facility from a religious furlough Sunday evening.

Debusk started his sentence in October of 2022: Zero to nine years out of Douglas County for theft and operation of a motor vehicle to avoid arrest.

He has a tentative release date of July 28th, 2026.

Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to contact local police or the Nebraska State Patrol.

Community Corrections Center-Omaha is one of two community custody facilities operated by the NDCS, which says community custody is the lowest custody level and the least restrictive facility.

Inmates are allowed to participate in work opportunities and attend school and religious services, with prior approval and without direct supervision.
