Roger Dixon
The 25-year President and CEO of the Metropolitan Entertainment & Convention Authority (MECA) announces he is retiring.
The authority announces Roger Dixon will be retiring at the end of the year.
Dixon has overseen the design and completion of three major projects in north downtown Omaha that have changed the face of Omaha's riverfront: the CHI Health Center Omaha arena and convention center, Charles Schwab Field Omaha, and, most recently, "The RiverFront" development.
Before coming to Omaha, he held management positions in various cities, including St. Louis, Philadelphia, Miami, and Louisville, Kentucky.
The MECA board will conduct a nationwide search to find its next President and CEO.
