Democratic Candidate Announces Run In Iowa's 1st Congressional District

(Burlington, IA) -- A Democratic candidate from Burlington is announcing a run for Iowa's 1st Congressional District seat next year.

Bob Krause was a member of the Iowa House of Representatives in the 1970's, and ran for the U.S. Senate in 2016 and 2022.

He's President of the Veterans National Recovery Center.

The seat is currently held by Mariannette Miller-Meeks

She recently announced that she won't be a candidate for Governor of Iowa after Kim Reynolds announced she won't be running for re-election.
