(Omaha, NE) -- The Douglas County deputy involved in a shooting last week is identified as Sergeant Jessie Ronk. D-C-S-O says Ronk was a part of a crime-prevention SWAT team conducting a firearms investigation. When they approached a car, several people fled but 19 year-old Janidi Ibrahim stayed in the car. Ronk began to fire and hit Ibrahim, causing him to die. Ronk remains on administrative leave while police continue to investigate. Per state law, the case will also be reviewed by a grand jury.
