(OMAHA, NE) -- A former U.S. Strategic Command employee accused of leaking classified military information to a woman in Ukraine is expected to plead guilty next month.
According to court documents, David Slater initially pleaded not guilty to three federal charges, but a change-of-plea hearing is now scheduled for June 10. Prosecutors say Slater shared top secret and confidential national defense details, including information about Russian military targets and capabilities. The indictment alleges he passed the material during an online relationship that began in 2022.
Slater faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted.
