(Des Moines, IA) -- A bill that stops county boards of supervisors and city councils in Iowa from banning fireworks usage on July 3rd, 4th, and December 31st is now law.
Iowans must still follow state laws regulating the use of fireworks, like a ban on fireworks sales to minors or the use of “display” fireworks without local permission during these three days. Local rules could still be enforced during other periods when fireworks are permitted for legal use by the state. Governor Reynolds signed it into law on Monday, along with 24 other bills.
