(OMAHA, NE) -- The Douglas County Sheriffβs Office says it is receiving an increased number of false crash alert calls triggered by iPhones.
Authorities say the phoneβs crash detection feature can mistakenly send alerts to 911, prompting emergency crews to respond unnecessarily. Officials are asking residents to disable the function if they are not in danger.
Instructions on managing the feature can be found on Apple Support.
