Knockro Inc. recalled six flavors of its "Bonya-branded yogurt parfait products" on May 12 due to the undeclared presence of a common allergen.

According to the United States Food & Drug Administration, the recalled product, distributed to retail stores nationwide (including locations in Nebraska) was mislabeled and does not include an ingredient callout for almonds which poses the risk of a serious "or life-threatening allergic reactions" to individuals allergic to the tree nut.

The brand's vanilla, strawberry, raspberry, peach, mango, and blueberry parfaits, packed in 12-ounce, clear plastic cups, are all included in the recall.

Consumers should avoid Bonya-branded yogurt parfait products with a May 5, 2025 expiration date.

There have been no allergic reactions reported as a result of consuming the products (as of May 12). Officials are urging consumers who have an almond allergy to discard the product and avoid consumption. Consumers can also "return them to the place of purchase for a full refund."

The FDA mentioned that the issue was "caused by a temporary breakdown in the company's production and packaging processes."

Concerned individuals who purchased the recalled Bonya-branded yogurt parfait can contact the company at 914-313-6905.
