Omaha is celebrating National Police Memorial Week next week.
Events include a Candlelight Vigil Walk on Tuesday night, starting at Central Police Headquarters. The walk will be led by the Omaha Police Pipes and Drum Corps, and will be followed by a Police Memorial Service on the Central Police Headquarters plaza.
Next Thursday the 15th is recognized as Peace Officer’s Memorial Day.
A service at Omaha Police Headquarters Plaza that morning will honor those officers from all metro area agencies who have died since May 2024.
