(Auburn, NE) -- A man from Auburn is facing felony charges after allegedly attacking his neighbor and her seven-year-old daughter with a lightsaber.

According to deputies, the weapon was described as a higher-quality device, approximately three and a half feet long, capable of causing significant pain and injury. The suspect, 25-year-old Aiden White, reportedly told police he was upset that their rent had increased due to the thermostat being set too high.

White is scheduled to appear in court again next month.
