(Omaha, NE) — Construction begins on a residential center for combat-wounded veterans in need of long-term care. Dunham House says it is dedicated to providing veterans with treatment, socialization, and independence.

The facility will offer 30 beds for long-term, residential-centered care. It was inspired by U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Jason L. Dunham, who died at age 22 from injuries sustained in a grenade attack in April 2004.
