According to the Omaha Police Department, a trooper spotted the driver of a Mazda CX-9 speeding at over 100 miles per hour in a 45-mile-per-hour zone without headlights. When the trooper attempted to stop her, she tried to maneuver between two cars and rear-ended a Toyota 4Runner, causing it to roll. The passenger of the car stated that the driver refused to let them get out before the chase began.

The 16-year-old was arrested and is facing several charges, including willful reckless driving, assault on an officer, false imprisonment, and minor in possession of alcohol. The driver of the Toyota was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
