The Nebraska State Patrol says troopers removed impaired drivers from the roads during a special enforcement operation this past weekend.
The Friday through Easter Sunday effort included high-visibility patrols throughout the state.
During the operation, troopers arrested 18 people for driving under the influence.
Troopers also issued 276 citations for speeding, 18 driving under suspension, nine minor in possession of alcohol, 15 open alcohol containers, seven no seat belt, four improper child restraint, and 13 citations for no proof of insurance.
The effort was made possible in part from a grant for $10,660 from the Nebraska Department of Transportation – Highway Safety Office.
