The suspect found with a missing Wisconsin teenager and arrested in Sarpy County early this month has been extradited to Wisconsin where he will face charges of abduction of a child and child enticement.

The Sarpy County Attorney’s Office dismissed the local misdemeanor charges against 40-year- old Gary Day as well as an Arkansas extradition complaint in order to expedite his return to Wisconsin.

Wisconsin law officers took custody of Day at the Sarpy County Correctional Center Wednesday morning.

The missing teen was re-united with her family shortly after she was found.

After a citizen called in a tip to 911, Sarpy County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Day at a truck stop in Sarpy County on April 3rd on two warrants out of the states of Wisconsin and Arkansas.

Day was booked into the Sarpy County Correctional Center on those charges as well as local misdemeanor charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and false reporting.
