The latest numbers show 16 people died on Nebraska roads last month, six fewer than in March of last year.
The Nebraska Department on Transportation reports the 16 deaths happened in 14 crashes.
One was a pedestrian and two were motorcyclists.
Eight of the thirteen vehicle occupants killed were not using seatbelts, two were using a seatbelt, and three had seatbelt usage marked as "unknown."
There were four fatalities on the interstate, six on other highways, and six on local roads.
So far this year, the latest number shows 49 people have been killed on Nebraska roads.
The number was 56 last year.
