Budget, Jack Hoffman, John Cook On NU Regents Agenda

The University of Nebraska Board of Regents will meet on the Omaha campus next Friday, April 11th.

NU System President Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D., will brief Regents on the university’s state budget request and ongoing federal funding.

The Regents will recognize the late Jack Hoffman with an honorary degree.

Jack Hoffman’s historic childhood run and touchdown during the 2013 Husker Spring Game started a movement and a foundation that has raised millions of dollars for pediatric cancer research.

The board will also hear a report on naming the radio booth at Nebraska Memorial Stadium in honor of Greg Sharpe, the broadcast voice of the Huskers from 2008-2024, who died earlier this year after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Continuing the sports theme, the board will also consider approval of the naming of the "John Cook Arena at the Bob Devaney Sports Center."
