The Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office investigates a fatal one-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning near Highway 50 and Riha Road.
Investigators say just after midnight, a Ford F-150, driven by 36-year-old Joshua Devers of Omaha, was southbound on Highway 50.
As the vehicle approached Riha Road, it left the roadway and hit a tree.
Passersby were able to remove the man from the vehicle and began lifesaving measures.
Sarpy County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived and took over lifesaving efforts.
Springfield Fire & Rescue took Joshua Devers to a hospital with CPR in progress.
He was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Investigators say Devers was alone in the vehicle.
The Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office Crash Response Unit leads the investigation.
