Lincoln Police say an officer-involved shooting early Monday morning in Northeast Lincoln involved a traffic stop of a car that began to pull away from the scene at North 46th and Orchard Streets with an officer partially inside the vehicle as he and K-9 dogs began a search.
Another officer fired his service weapon in the direction of the car during a footchase.
Lincoln Police say the officer partially in the suspect car had minor injuries.
There were no injuries from the shot fired by another officer after that officer a number of times ordered the car to stop.
Investigators say 66-year- old Ronald Willis and 44-year- old Cynthia Martinez, both of Lincoln, were arrested.
Police say they had probable cause to start the search.
