Omaha National Weather Service meteorologists in Valley say snow will increase in coverage from west to east this evening, becoming moderate to heavy at times late tonight into Wednesday morning, and coming to an end from west to east on Wednesday afternoon.

Most locations can expect several inches of snow.

The heaviest snow is most likely to occur in the Winter Storm Warning area, but there may also be some narrow bands of heavier snowfall within the advisory area as well.

The weather service says snow will be very light and fluffy and there will be a bit of blowing and drifting as north winds gust to near 25 mph on Wednesday.

Widespread travel impacts are expected Wednesday.
