Nebraska Tribal Colleges and Universities could get more input on how and where federal funding is spent.

Last night, the National Advisory Council on Indian Education Improvement Act passed the U.S. House. Now it's headed to President Biden's desk.

The legislation requires at least one of the members of the Advisory Council to be a member or president of a Tribal College or University.

Senator Deb Fisher says the bill ensures the native voices will be heard in decisions that directly affect their communities.
