Omaha/Council Bluffs Area Braces For Friday Storms

The Omaha Office of the National Weather Service in Valley is closely watching the possible development of strong, fast-moving storms late Friday afternoon into the evening for eastern Nebraska into western Iowa, including Omaha/Council Bluffs, and Lincoln.

They say wind gusts as strong as 80+ mph and damaging hail are the main concerns, but isolated flooding and a tornado or two are also not being ruled out.
