It's a life in prison sentence for a man convicted of killing a former girlfriend in Omaha.
In Douglas County District Court Thursday, a judge sentences Aldrick Scott to a life sentence for killing Cari Allen in November of 2022, then burying her body in a Kansas shallow grave.
In March, a jury convicted Scott of first degree murder, use of a weapon, and tampering with evidence.
During his trial, Scott had argued the killing was in self - defense.
