Douglas County Board Aids Tornado Recovery

The Douglas County Board approves waiving building permit fees for tornado-damaged properties in Bennington, the Village of Waterloo, and unincorporated areas of Douglas County.

County government stresses that property owners will still need permits for demolition.

While the fees are waived, the process is still needed, according to Kent Holm, Director of Douglas County Environmental Services.
