Omaha Police Investigate Two Separate Weekend Stabbings

(Omaha, NE) -- Omaha Police investigated a cutting that occurred at an apartment at 34-hundred block of north 105th Plaza Saturday night. Officers responded just after 11 PM and found the 21-year-old victim with an injury to his hand. Officers then located a suspect, 23-year-old Malaysia Griffin and took her into custody. She's booked at Douglas County Corrections for felony assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony.

Omaha Police are also investigating a cutting that left one person with minor injuries early Sunday. Officers from the Omaha Police Department responded to the 400 block of North 10th Street just before 3 A.M. and were able to speak with the victim, who said he was cut by an unknown black male near the intersection of 13th and Mike Fahey Street. Omaha Fire Department medics transported Bywater to the Nebraska Medical Center for treatment. An investigation is ongoing in that case.
