Update On Former Congresswoman's Missouri Riverfront Assault

Council Bluffs Police say using surveillance video and other investigative means, detectives identify a suspect in the assault of former Arizona Congresswoman and trailblazing military pilot Martha McSally.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 25-year old Dominic M. Henton of Papillion, Ne. charging him with one count of Assault with Intent to Commit Sexual Abuse.

Police say the incident happened on the "Tom Hanafan River's Edge Park" Service Road South of the I-480 bridge.

Police say Henton is a 25 year old white male who is believed to be a transient and may frequent the area of the riverfront on both the Iowa and Nebraska sides.

McSally was in the Omaha/Council Bluffs Metro for a speaking engagement and was out for a walk or run Wednesday morning.

Police say surveillance photos show the suspect as he followed Martha McSally eastbound over the Bob Kerry Pedestrian Bridge between Omaha and the Bluffs and then southbound onto the trail.

C.B. Police look for the public’s help in locating Henton.

They say not to approach him, but instead call 911.
