Omaha City Council Okays A Gun Ordinance

The Omaha City Council votes to ban the purchase of ghost gun parts.

Ghost guns can be constructed using different parts including components ordered on-line or made by using 3D printers.

The Omaha Police Chief supports the ban.

The Nebraska Firearm Owners Association threatens the City of Omaha with legal action over the ghost gun parts ban.

The ban goes into effect January 14th, 2024.

The council delays a vote on an ordinance dealing with bump stocks, as well as a resolution banning handguns in public places.
