UPDATE: I-80 Section Reopens In Southwest Omaha

Law enforcement has now reopened a section of eastbound Interstate 80 at the I-680 overpass in southwest Omaha after all lanes were shut down around 8:45 Monday morning.

A jackknifed semi caused the closure, and Omaha Firefighters were on hand to control any fuel spills, putting some substances down after the truck was towed away.

Law enforcement then gradually got traffic flowing again by using a "rolling roadblack" to set the pace.

The accident happened late in a morning commute that featured heavy rains and severe weather in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area.
