(Omaha, NE) -- Interstate 480 fully reopened around 5:00 Friday evening after being closed for hours.
Omaha Police say the closure was due to a man having a mental health crisis, who had climbed on to the fencing over the sidewalk on the Farnam Street bridge over the interstate. The man climb onto the fence around 8:00 Friday morning, forcing northbound I-480 to close for about nine hours while emergency crews worked to get the man down.
The man involved did eventually come down from the fence and was arrested for obstructing a peace officer, obstructing a public passageway and resisting arrest.
