(Omaha, NE) -- Metro will provide fare-free transit on Tuesday, November 8th for the General Election with its Bus to Ballot program.
Anyone will be able to board a Metro bus, ORBT, or MOBY fare-free all day on Election Day. “Not having access to transportation should never be a reason not to vote,” said Metro CEO Lauren Cencic. “We are proud to offer Bus to Ballot to make it easier for riders to participate in the democratic process.”
This marks the fifth time Metro has offered Bus to Ballot, having provided free rides for the elections in 2016, 2020, 2021, and earlier this year for the City of Omaha Primary Election. Click here for a map of Douglas County polling locations and Metro routes. Riders can plan their trip and track their bus using MyRide OMA, which is available online and as a smartphone app.
