(Omaha, NE) -- Douglas County will hold a community meeting Wednesday night to give an update following the fire at the Nox-Crete chemical plant.
The county says Commissioner Roger Garcia is organizing the meeting to provide information and update residents in the impacted area. The meeting is at 6:00 p.m. at the Berkley, 1901 Leavenworth St. Commissioner Garcia says this is an effort to bring together the various departments and jurisdictions involved in the response.
Residents can expect to hear from several responding agencies, including Omaha Fire, Omaha Police, Omaha Public Works, MUD, Douglas County Health Department and the Douglas County Emergency Management Agency. The event will be streamed on Douglas County's Facebook page and a Zoom option is available.
