Hotels in Omaha to receive millions in American Rescue Plan Act funds

(Omaha, NE) -- Hotels in Omaha that have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic will get millions of dollars in federal aid money.

Tuesday night, the Omaha City Council approved giving a share of $4.48 million in American Rescue Plan Act money to 46 Omaha hotels. The Hotel Stimulus Program aims to help hotels of all sizes in Omaha to recoup some of the revenues lost in 2020 and 2021 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The amount each hotel gets will depend on its size and financial need. The hotels receiving funds through the Hotel Stimulus Program will have to report to the city quarterly.
