NSP Troopers find 362 pounds of marijuana in I-80 traffic stop

(Grand Island, NE) -- Hundreds of pounds of marijuana are found during a Nebraska traffic stop.

The Nebraska State Patrol says around 11:45 Saturday morning, a trooper observed a Chrysler Pacifica following another vehicle too closely on I-80 near Giltner. Investigators say during the traffic stop, an NSP K-9 detected the presence of a controlled substance inside the vehicle.

During a search of the vehicle, 362 pounds of marijuana were found. The driver, 38 year old Gerald Robinson Jr. of San Diego, California, was arrested for possession of marijuana – more than a pound, delivery of a controlled substance, and no drug tax stamp.
