Catholic Charities of Omaha needs donations: "Our Pantry Shelves are Bare"

(Omaha, NE) -- Catholic Charities of Omaha is asking the community for food donations to help replenish the food supply of its two food pantries.

The organization distributes food to nearly 25,000 people every month and leaders say with the current economic conditions and the fluctuation of food prices, these numbers continue to increase dramatically.

Food donations are being accepted at the following locations:

  • St. Teresa of Calcutta Campus - 9223 Bedford Ave, Omaha, NE 68134
    • Monday – Friday, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
    • West side of building, lower level
  • St. Juan Diego Center - 5211 South 31st Street, Omaha, NE 68107
    • Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
    • East side of building, lower level
  • St. Martin de Porres Center - 2111 Emmet Street, Omaha NE 68110
    • Monday, Tuesday and Friday, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
    • West side of building

  • Cereals
  • Canned Vegetables
  • Canned Fruits
  • Dry Beans
  • Dry Rice
  • Pasta
  • Pasta Sauce
  • Diapers (sizes 4,5,6)
  • Peanut Butter
  • Mac N Cheese
