(Beatrice, NE) -- A staff member at a Nebraska facility for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities is arrested for assault.
The Nebraska State Patrol says 30 year old Allen Evans, an employee of the Beatrice State Development Center, has been arrested following an investigation into an incident that occurred in 2021. The state patrol says in October 2021, their investigators were informed of an incident involving a BSDC patient and Evans. Following an investigation, with assistance of the Nebraska State Patrol Crime Lab, Evans was arrested for first degree sexual assault and tampering with evidence.
Evans was arrested Tuesday afternoon and lodged in Gage County Jail. No other details have been provided at this time.
