(Council Bluffs, IA) -- Two people suffer life-threatening injuries in a Monday morning crash.
Council Bluffs Police say around 10:15 Monday morning, a crash was reported on Veteran’s Memorial Highway near the South Omaha Bridge. CBPD says a preliminary investigation showed that a 2005 Chevrolet Suburban was eastbound on Vet's Highway when it veered off the roadway to the right. Investigators say the SUV then hit a light pole and rolled multiple times down the embankment before coming to rest.
Police say both people in the SUV were ejected from the vehicle. They were transported to a local trauma center with life-threatening injuries. Their names have not been released at this time.
