(Giltner, NE) -- A California man is behind bars in Nebraska after investigators say he was caught with over 100 pounds of marijuana.
The Nebraska State Patrol says just after 11:00 Saturday morning, a trooper saw an eastbound Chevy Tahoe with a license plate violation near Giltner, and pulled the vehicle over. The State Patrol says during the traffic stop the trooper detected criminal activity.
During a search of the vehicle, troopers found 102 pounds of marijuana. The driver, 36 year old Armando Hernandez-Cruz of Stockton, California, was arrested for possession of marijuana – more than one pound, possession with intent to deliver, and no drug tax stamp.
